don’t bring flowers to my grave after you’ve killed me // beni öldürdükten sonra mezarıma çiçek getirme

Don’t bring flowers to my grave after you’ve killed me is a document of the 409 (reported) women who were murdered in Turkey during 2020. Flower petals hammered onto a white queen bed sheet serve as a response to the ongoing issue/rise of violence against women in Turkey.

Don’t bring flowers to my grave after you’ve killed me highlights the ways in which the lives of women are intruded upon physically, metaphorically, and politically by the culture surrounding them.
